Completely Persistent Dark/Light Mode (Cross Device)

Try to create an account and then go to another device and log in - you will notice that whichever setting you choose (light or dark), it will be updated on the other device as well on refresh.

Members need to log in for full consistency.

We're storing their preferences in the local storage so that on their device it will persist regardless, but for it to work cross device, they will need to be logged in. Otherwise, there would be no way to match up their devices and be sure that it's the same person!
